Pantelides does not intend to educate. He rather investigates mechanisms of transposing a gesture or an article into a personal visual language.
He lends from a wide range of materials drawing from various scientific and technical specialties including Sociology, Anthropology, Linguistics and Biology. He records and redefines interactions among cultural systems as well as discrepancies in human relations and rights. Pantelides is concerned with bipolar concepts such as "terrorist or freedom fighter?" and how such notions have been recorded in the histories of nations.
He studied Philosophy of Aesthetics and Contemporary European History at Aristotelio University of Thessalonica. Soon after enrolling he discontinued his studies due to the fact that the academic system was failing his expectations.
The particular work called "The void", contrasts elements from his native country, Cyprus, with historical facts that had reformed it.
